We Are Hawai’i Island Community Health Center
We’re proud of the 2022 merger of West Hawai’i Community Health Center and Bay Clinic that allowed us to expand options for care and access to our patients across Hawai’i island. Together as a united organization we share a new name; but our mission, locations, hours, caring staff, medical providers, and our deep roots in the communities we serve remain the same.
Hawai’i Island Community Health Center is a locally owned and operated non-profit community health center with a legacy of care island-wide. Every year we serve nearly 40,000 patients at our health center facilities and through our School Based Health Centers, Mobile Health Clinics, and community outreach.

Proud Member of Health Choice Care ACO
HICHC is proud to be a part of the Health Choice Care Accountable Care Organization (ACO). This reflects our commitment to ensuring that our Medicare patients receive the highest quality care and outcomes. ACOs are groups of doctors, hospitals, and other health care providers, who come together voluntarily to give coordinated high-quality care to the Medicare patients they serve. Coordinated care helps ensure that patients, especially the chronically ill, get the right care at the right time, with the goal of avoiding unnecessary duplication of services and preventing medical errors.
