Across Hawaiʻi island, families and community members are waiting months or even years for essential care, traveling long distances for prescriptions and appointments, and seeking services in facilities that have reached their limits.
Healthcare infrastructure is essential to the health and future of our island and Hawaiʻi Island continues to face significant shortages of medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and healthcare workforce capacity.
Hawaiʻi Island Community Health Center’s six-project capital vision will respond directly to those needs; expanding access to care, strengthening our healthcare system, and ensuring that our growing communities can receive quality care close to home for years to come.
